CLASSROOM VOLUNTEERS

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at RISE Center! Volunteers at RISE work one-to-one with children in one of our seven classrooms. Classroom volunteers are members of the community and university students who are interested in working directly with children in the classrooms.

Perspective volunteers should complete the following in order:
1. Classroom Volunteer Form.

2. Once the application is received, the perspective volunteer will receive an email link to sign up for volunteer orientation. In order to ensure the safety of our children and their families, all RISE volunteers are required to complete the Volunteer Orientation before working in the classrooms. Volunteer orientation also includes a tour of RISE Center and information specific to each classroom’s guidelines and procedures on the volunteer’s first day.

3. Following orientation, volunteers will sign up for placement. Volunteer placements are impacted by the available spots in each classroom. Please note classroom volunteers are able to volunteer Monday through Friday during the times of 8am-2:30pm. Volunteers are asked to commit to completing at least 30 hours. Please email Riane Sullivan at [email protected] with questions or for further information. We look forward to receiving your volunteer application and thank you in advance for helping our children shine!
Other opportunities to volunteer at RISE’s numerous fundraising events or for after-school projects (one hour) are available. To be added to this email distribution list please contact Rebeccah Payne at [email protected]. These opportunities are made available to possible volunteers as the need arises. An email is sent to all interested persons and sign up is conducted on a first come-first served basis.
